Meet the Marietta Housing Authority Board of Commissioners
The Marietta Housing Authority Board of Commissioners is made up of six members; the Chair and Vice-Chair are elected by the board. The Commissioners are the governing officers of the Authority. Their responsibilities include setting policies governing the operations of the Authority; charting the direction of current and future programs and development; and approving contracts entered into by the Authority.
The MHA Board meetings are held every second Wednesday of the month. The meeting begins at Noon and takes place at the MHA Administrative Office, 95 Cole Street, Marietta Georgia. On occasion, the meeting may be held at another property of the MHA and will be specified on the agenda for the month in which there is a change of location.

Allen Krivsky
Allen is from the mountains of northeast Georgia and has been a resident of Marietta for more than 30 years. He graduated from Southern Technical Institute (now Kennesaw StateUniversity) with a Civil Engineering Technology degree in 1993.

Mitch Hunter

Appointed by Mayor Steve Tumlin in 2010, Mr. Hunter is a second-generation MHA Commissioner and occupies the position previously held by his father, David Hunter.
After serving as Congressman Phil Gingrey’s Chief of Staff in Washington, D.C., Mr. Hunter returned to Marietta and launched a public affairs business. He is the Managing Director of
GMHC 360, providing strategic solutions for corporations, associations, nonprofits, and political campaigns.
Mr. Hunter is a graduate of the University of Georgia and lives in Marietta with his wife, Jaillene, and their four sons.
Latasha Price‑Yaro

Latasha is originally from Louisville, Kentucky, and has lived in Cobb County for more than 20 years. She is a visual artist and entrepreneur who founded her own cosmetic company.
She is a graduate of Kennesaw State University with degrees in Integrative Studies, Leadership, and a Paralegal Certificate. As a single mother of two, Latasha is dedicated to serving the
community where she lives.
Latasha is a life-long Christian and serves on several community boards and committees throughout Marietta.
Ruben Sands

Ruben Sands is a long-time Marietta resident and graduate of Marietta High School. He has volunteered for many years as manager of the school’s basketball and football teams.
Ruben has worked as a medical supply clerk at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital for more than 30 years. He is a member of Marietta Chapel AME Church and the Marietta School Foundation.
Charles “Laing” Heidt

Charles is a native of Albany, Georgia, and a graduate of the University of Georgia. He has lived in Marietta since 1992 and has more than 35 years of medical sales experience.
He has served on numerous boards, including the Marietta Welcome Center and Visitor’s Bureau, Marietta Tree Keepers, Cobb Landmarks, and the Health Industry Representative
Association.
Charles remains active in the community and enjoys family time, gardening, running, and reading history.
Allison Gruehn

Allison is a lifelong resident of Marietta and a graduate of Marietta High School and Davidson College. She began her career in commercial banking with SunTrust Bank.
She later transitioned into real estate after providing bookkeeping services to nonprofit organizations and statewide political campaigns. Allison is a graduate of Leadership Cobb
and was honored as a YWCA Woman of Achievement in 2012.
