{"id":52,"date":"2020-03-24T17:39:36","date_gmt":"2020-03-24T21:39:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.new.youngbossinc.com\/MHA\/?page_id=52"},"modified":"2026-04-23T12:12:20","modified_gmt":"2026-04-23T16:12:20","slug":"hud-vash","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.mariettahousingauthority.org\/?page_id=52","title":{"rendered":"HUD VASH"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n<h1><span style=\"color: #000080;\">HUD VASH Program<\/span><\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080; font-size: 14pt;\"><em><strong>&#8220;Making Housing Work for our Veterans&#8221;<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0Marietta Housing Authority (MHA) currently administers the HUD VASH program.<\/p>\n<p>The HUD-Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) program combines Housing\u00a0Choice Voucher (HCV) rental assistance for homeless Veterans with case management and clinical services provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). \u00a0VA provides these services for participating Veterans at VA medical centers (VAMCs) and community-based outreach clinics.<\/p>\n<p>If you are a homeless veteran interested in learning more about this program, and to determine your eligibility, you may call the Department of Veteran\u2019s Affairs at 404.321.6111 x2471.<\/p>\n<p>You may also visit the Community Based Outpatient Clinic in person at:<br \/>\nFort McPherson<br \/>\nBuilding 128<br \/>\n1701 Hardee Ave SW<br \/>\nAtlanta, GA 30310<\/p>\n<p>The VA must pre-screen your eligibility and refer you to the MHA. Acceptance by the MHA will be determined only if a referral is received from the VA, if vouchers are available and you meet other screening and eligibility requirements as required by the MHA.<\/p>\n<p>If you are a current HUD VASH voucher participant and want to port your voucher to the MHA\u2019s jurisdiction of Cobb County, you must initiate the port process with your VA Social Worker in your current jurisdiction. A referral from the Atlanta VAMC will be required and acceptance will be based on the availability of vouchers and other eligibility requirements.
