MHA ANNOUNCES AVAILABILITY OF APPLICATION
2008 MIHOM (“My Home”) HOMEOWNERSHIP ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
The Marietta Housing Authority (MHA) is pleased to announce that applications for the 2008 MIHOM Program (“My Home”) will be accepted beginning Tuesday, July 15, 2008.
The MIHOM Program provides purchase assistance primarily to teachers, police officers and firefighters employed full-time by the City of Marietta and Marietta City Schools. The program also provides assistance to other full-time employees of the City of Marietta, Marietta City Schools and Marietta Housing Authority.
Funds for this program are available on an ongoing basis until all allotted funds have been used.Interested individuals complete an application. MHA will review all applications and determine which applicants are eligible based on program guidelines.MHA will select eligible recipients and will reserve apreliminary amount of MIHOM funds for each recipient.
Recipients will be notified via mail and will have ninety (90) days to a) complete a formal loan application with a mortgage lender from MHA’s Participating Lender List, b) select an eligible property and c) close the purchase of the property. MHA reserves the right to grant extensions to this time frame or to allocate funds to other recipients on a case- by- case basis.
